It never seems to surprise us at Edward Surovell Realtors just how often we hear from frustrated home buyers who are working with Part Time Realtors from other Real Estate companies. We have heard everything from “Well, my Realtor works a full time job and can only show me houses on the weekend, but I really want to see this one tonight…” to the more blunt home buyers “My agent hasn’t called me back in over a month, but he’s a family friend so I don’t want to break my Buyer Agency Contract with him. Can you have an agent meet me 123 Main St. tonight?”
STOP! A home purchase is one of the biggest investments that you will ever make. Why would you want to trust this investment with a Realtor who offers such a low level of service? If you were getting ready to have major surgery, would you allow a Part Time surgeon to perform it? Of course you wouldn’t, you would choose a surgeon with the highest level of expertise in their profession.
What are the advantages to working with a Full Time Realtor?
1) Full Time Realtors have a better understanding of local Market Trends within the area that you are most interested in.
2) Full Time Realtors have more time to walk you through the complexities of buying a home. If they don’t have time to show you a house, are they really going to have time to service you throughout the transaction?
3) Full Time Realtors have a higher level of expertise. They walk and talk and LIVE Real Estate.
4) Full Time Realtors are updated on local programs for home buyers and tend to be better connected within the community.
5) Full Time Realtors offer FULL TIME SERVICE!
You are looking for your dream home and odds are this will be one of the most significant purchases that you will ever make. You need and deserve the highest level of service that is offered by a Real Estate Professional. At Edward Surovell Realtors, all of our agents are full service, FULL TIME professionals!

Tammy is a top producing agent in the area and has contact with a lot of people. Tammy has been the leading Realtor of the Chelsea office since 1998. She continues to dominate the market and was recognized as the best of the best with the President’s Award at Edward Surovell Realtors and ranked #4 in company sales in 2009. With 59 closed transactions and Sales totaling 8.2 million. Tammy felt it was important to run for Chelsea School Board this year because of the financial constraints and burdens put on the school at the state level. She felt it was important to run because she wanted to make sure that Chelsea maintained and continued to be a top quality school.
Her daughter Reagan is a 2nd grader in Chelsea and her education is very important to Tammy and her husband Deon. Tammy also serves as vice chair of the MLS committee and is a member of the finance committee for the Ann Arbor board of Realtors. "Ernie’s sports knowledge and enthusiasm for the game will be greatly missed."
If you grew up in the state of Michigan or spent anytime living here in the last 50 years, you know who Ernie is. Even if you hate sports and have never listened to a Detroit Tigers game, you know who Ernie is. Ernie Harwell was a man who touched the sport of baseball just as much as he touched the lives of the citizens of Michigan.
When I worked for the Tigers in 2006, I was lucky enough to meet Ernie Harwell several times. Just knowing that Ernie was in the broadcasting booth made me feel like I was a part of history. You could see everyone’s eyes light up as he walked around the press box, including the front office staff, the sportswriters and the lowly interns (namely me).
My grandpa, Don Lund, played, coached and worked for the Tigers front office and got to know Ernie quite well. When I called him to see how he was taking the news, he informed me that he actually met Ernie before either of their days with the Tigers. He met him in 1946 when my grandpa played for the Brooklyn Dodgers’ AA Farm team, the Mobile Bears. Ernie was broadcasting for the Atlanta Crackers in what turned out to be a 21 inning game that was called due to curfew. Now there’s a game you wouldn’t forget.
I cannot begin to contemplate the number of people who met Ernie Harwell and who listened to him on the radio in his 92 years. I can only imagine how many people his voice turned into Tigers fans and baseball fans alike. Ernie’s sports knowledge and enthusiasm for the game will be greatly missed. For the many fans that fell asleep to Ernie’s voice on hot summer nights, we will take his voice and those memories with us forever.
